
The governor of Istanbul, Ali Yerlikaya, announced that the city received 1,189,000 tourists last January.
In a tweet on his Twitter account, Yerli Kaya indicated that during January the city recorded an increase in the number of tourists by 50.31 percent compared to the same month last year.
Russian tourists come first in terms of number, followed by Germans, Iranians, Americans and Kuwaitis. According to Anadolu Agency.
