Mahdi Daoud, the general coordinator of the solutions table with the Turkish side, provided explanations about the reasons for removing the naturalization files of Syrian refugees in the fourth stage.
Dawood said during an interview with Radio Rozana that they had contacted Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu and the director of the Civil Affairs Department in Ankara to discuss the file, about which a great uproar arose.
Daoud stated that this is not the first time that citizenship applications have been canceled, “perhaps this is the sixth or seventh time, but the presence of media professionals and activists among this list has led to this media resonance.”
He pointed out that the nationality file is very large, as there are more than 500,000 files submitted to obtain Turkish citizenship, pointing out that the number of employees is not sufficient to consider it.

He dealt with Bank Asia, which has been closed since 2016, or received a call from a terrorist or suspicious party.
He pointed out that there are many reasons that may lead to the cessation of citizenship in the fourth stage, pointing out that according to Turkish law, any file that passes a certain period falls by the statute of limitations.
He pointed out that any document issued by the Turkish authorities after three months loses its official status and becomes meaningless.
Regarding not mentioning the reasons for dropping the files, Daoud said: “The Turkish authorities are not obligated to explain the reason, but in the event that a specific person files a lawsuit claiming that his file is clean, the court will provide him with an adequate answer.”
He stressed that they are working to find solutions for all categories of Syrians in Turkey, not humanitarian, commercial and academic workers, stressing that Turkey opens the exceptional nationality file for Syrians only and not for other countries.
He said, “The Turkish state is trying to help, but the file is very large and needs follow-up.”
He called on all persons whose files were rejected to apply again through the link published on the page of the “Syrian Solutions Table” and the “Syrian Al-Nour Association”, which is as follows:
He indicated that in the coming days, a new link will be published for new applicants.
The message includes a phrase that says, “I remove your file for obtaining exceptional Turkish citizenship.”
