
Today, Saturday, the head of the Turkish Disaster and Emergency Authority, Yunus Sezer, made important statements regarding the high number of victims of the devastating earthquakes that occurred in Turkey on the sixth of last February.
Sezer said that the loss of life as a result of the earthquakes rose to 47 thousand and 975 people.
He stated that among those who lost their lives, 6,278 were foreigners, including Syrians.
In his statement, Sears said, “As of now, 414,323 tents have been erected, and nearly 13,000 portable showers and toilets have been dispatched to areas in need.”
He emphasized hosting 273,000 earthquake victims in places other than the earthquake.
On the other hand, rubble removal work continues in the 11 affected cities and the installation of tents and containers continues.
