Some people show the first signs of graying at an early age, so why do some people gray hair early? And what can be done to avoid its appearance at the age of thirty?

Gray hair is a sign of aging, but its appearance at an early age surprises both sexes, and it may be considered a nightmare. But why does gray hair appear in some people at an earlier age than others?

How does gray hair happen?

Aging is the first and main cause of graying, as the body secretes less melanin, which is the substance responsible for giving color to hair. With age, the cells in the hair stop forming and manufacturing melanin, and thus the color of the hair decreases and becomes white.

At first, a few hairs are colored gray or white, and they multiply over time. The temple area is usually covered with gray hair more than others, as well as the beard in men, because the hair in these areas is shorter and falls out more quickly, according to what Deutsche Welle reported on the German “Ponte” website.

Why do some people start graying early?

  1. genes. When a person turns gray, and if he will grow old at all, is largely related to genes. If your parents and grandparents were young in old age, it is very likely that gray hair will appear at a later age.
  2. hormonal diseases.
  3. Severe deficiency of nutrients.
  4. Psychological stress, tension and stress, as stress causes the stem cells responsible for hair color to shrink, and this explains the relationship between psychological stress and the high percentage of gray hair.

Can premature graying be prevented?

It is not possible to prevent gray hair at all, but the following can be done:

  1. Treatment of hormonal disorders.
  2. Obtaining healthy and balanced nutrition that provides all nutrients, and a balanced diet rich in vitamins and folic acid can help maintain natural hair color as long as possible.
  3. Reducing psychological stress.
