The state of Antalya, the Turkish tourism capital overlooking the Mediterranean, has received more than 5.6 million foreign tourists since the beginning of this year.

According to data reported by the Anadolu Agency from the state’s Hotel Operators Association, Antalya received 5,658,213 foreign tourists between January 1 and July 18, 2022.

The vice president of the state’s Hotel Operators Association, Kan Kawaloglu, indicated that the tourism movement in Antalya will continue after Eid al-Adha.

He explained, in a statement to Anadolu Agency, that the state has hosted more than 5.6 million tourists since the beginning of this year.

Cavaloglu pointed to the increase in the number of tourists compared to last year.

And that reservations are continuing and that the tourist season continues until the end of next November.

“The hotel occupancy rate continues to be almost 100 percent,” he said.

It is noteworthy that Antalya is considered one of the most important tourist centers in the world, thanks to the warmth of its sea waters and golden sands, the beauty of its charming nature, as well as its richness in cultural and historical destinations.
