Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the leader of the Turkish National Movement Party, Devlet Bahceli, visited the prefabricated “Turkish-Qatari Brotherhood” city in Hatay, southern Turkey, while Turkish activists interacted on social media with the quality of the mobile homes sent from Qatar.
In his speech after the tour, the Turkish president indicated that Qatar had once again shown its “magnanimity” by providing great financial assistance to those affected by the earthquake.
And he stated that Qatar promised to send 10,000 prefabricated houses, of which 1,000 have arrived, and 4,000 are on the way.
He said: “We find it difficult to recognize the city of Antakya, which we have visited dozens of times since our youth, because of the view left by the destroyed and damaged houses.”
And he indicated that the prefabricated houses built by Qatar for the World Cup will be sent by ship to Turkey.
The Turkish president indicated that they have started building 244 thousand homes and 75 thousand rural homes, which will be completed within a year.
In the context, Turkish activists on social media praised the mobile homes that Qatar sent to the earthquake zone, while the activists transmitted video clips from inside them, expressing their thanks to the Gulf state.
