On Friday, March 31, 2023, settlement groups in occupied Jerusalem announced the allocation of financial rewards for settlers who attempt to slaughter sacrifices in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, during the Jewish Passover holiday, which falls on the third week of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement by the so-called “Temple” groups, they said that they will provide nearly $7,000 to those who are able to slaughter a “qurban” inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, according to what was reported by the official Palestinian News Agency, “Wafa.”

It also set a reward of about 700 dollars for anyone who tries to bring the sacrifice to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Extremist settler organizations called for closing Al-Aqsa Mosque to Muslims for a period of 10 days, and called on their supporters to carry out the largest storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

A few days ago, 15 rabbis sent a letter to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, requesting that settlers be allowed to sacrifice this year’s Passover offerings in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The so-called “Temple” groups continue to mobilize their supporters to target the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, by intensifying their incursions and performing their Talmudic rituals, and these calls intensify on Jewish occasions and holidays.

The slaughter of offerings in Al-Aqsa Mosque is the culmination of the Talmudic rituals, and a goal for settlers that they seek to achieve every year during Easter, and they try by all means to implement it, but the Palestinians’ sit-in at Al-Aqsa Mosque fails their plans.

The blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque is exposed daily to incursions by settlers, with the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, at two shifts, morning and evening. In an attempt by the Israeli occupation to impose the temporal division in it.

The occupation authorities also constantly deport a group of pioneers and influencers, in decisions of up to 6 months issued by the commander of the Jerusalem District.

With the onset of Ramadan, the occupation police increased their harassment of the stationed, as they prevented them from praying, monitored their identities, and searched them. In an attempt to discourage them from returning to the mosque.
