Uzungöl, the tourist center of the Caykara district of Trabzon, is the center of interest for domestic and foreign tourists every season with its natural beauty. In Uzungol, where guests from Kuwait, Bahrain and Israel are hosted with tour groups on “charter” flights this year; The full occupancy level has been reached in hotels, pensions and chalets.
Tourism Director Murat Akyuz stated that most of the guests had to return without being able to stay. “Every day is busy. With the arrival of the Saudis, we have reached the full occupancy rate. Most of our guests are from Jordan, Dubai, Qatar, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and they are forced to stay in other hotels close to the area and not around the lake.”
He added: “We expected this matter, especially with the end of the epidemic and the opening of the doors for the influx of those who yearn for this nature to Uzungol . We expect the tourism season here to extend for an additional two months, and reservations are made in September and October, and there is no room left, and most of the guests, before they can stay, will return.”
