
A nutrition expert revealed the forbidden and necessary foods that must be present during the Suhoor meal in the month of Ramadan.
Dr. Rami Salah, a clinical nutrition consultant, said: “The suhoor meal is as important as the breakfast meal, and there are two types of people who eat the suhoor meal, one of whom eats and then goes to bed, and the other starts his day after suhoor and goes to do his usual work.”
He stressed that both types of food have a completely different nature of food, but the common denominator between them must be the consumption of an ample amount of water at intervals from breakfast, in addition to yogurt, as it helps not to feel thirsty, at least until noon, and also prevents any Digestive problems, or beneficial bacteria for colon.

And he added, “Combining them may cause a problem with digestion in the long run, so it is better not to combine beans and eggs during the Suhoor meal, and when preparing eggs in the form of an “omelet”, ghee should be used, not oil, with the addition of pepper and broccoli to add more flavor. It is beneficial and gives a feeling of satiety for a long time.
And he continued, “It is possible to add cheese to suhoor as a common ingredient with beans or eggs, especially if it is light salt cheese or “Quraysh.” As for the second type of people, who go to bed after suhoor, Salah advised that his meal, in addition to yogurt, include fruit containing Stick to liquids, especially watermelon (one slice equals 6-7 cubes) and cantaloupe (two slices equal 7-8 cubes).
And he warned against eating beans or eggs and sleeping immediately after that, as this will cause poor digestion and a major problem in the digestive system.
