The Turkish electric car “Togg” roamed the streets of the Austrian capital, Vienna, where it received attention from Turkish citizens here and by residents of the European city.
This came during the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu, who visited Vienna on Friday.
The Turkish minister went to a mosque in Vienna, using the local car, “Tug”.

In his statements in this regard, Çavuşoğlu said that the local electric car “Tog” is receiving interest from Turkish citizens abroad, and from the world.
The minister pointed out that the “Tug” car has received great attention in Vienna from the city’s residents and Austrians in general since its arrival in Vienna, as informed by those concerned, stressing that this is a source of pride.
He noted that Turkey is now manufacturing its own cars, and the best types of armed and unarmed drones, according to the Anadolu Agency.
He added, “As in Turkey, there is interest from our citizens abroad also in our local and national car (Tog), there is interest from everyone in the world.”
On October 29, 2022, Turkey celebrated the production of the first domestic car, marking the start of serial manufacturing of its electric car, “Tog.”
Ankara owns 100 percent of the intellectual and industrial rights to the car, through which it seeks to build a global brand and form the nucleus of an integrated Turkish transportation system.
