Cheese Potato Soup Ingredients:

  • 4 potatoes
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 2 finely chopped onions
  • 3 cups of chicken broth
  • A teaspoon of soft cardamom
  • A quarter cup of butter, you can replace it with vegetable oil
  • Teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped parsley
  • A quarter cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • A spoonful of lemon juice

How to prepare potato soup with cheese:

  • Peel potatoes and cut into small cubes.
  • Put the water on the fire, add the potatoes and onions, and let it boil until it is tender
  • Mash the potatoes and onions, then add them to the chicken broth.
  • Lightly brown the flour with butter until it becomes golden in color, then gradually add the milk to it, with continuous stirring.
  • When you get a cohesive sauce, add it to the mashed potatoes and gravy and put them back on the fire.
  • Stir the ingredients over medium heat until it boils, then add the salt and cardamom and stir.
  • Leave the potato soup to boil on a low heat for ten minutes.
  • Add shredded cheese, parsley and lemon juice and serve hot with toasted bread.
