The General Directorate of Turkish Endowments announced the dates of its scholarships for school and university students in Turkey, which includes Turkish and foreign students.

Registration for primary, preparatory and secondary school students began on October 1 and will continue until October 15, through the link shown on the Directorate’s website.

While registration begins for foreign university students through the link, and for Turkish students through the link shown on the official website, on the 15th of October until the 30th of the same month.

The Directorate grant provides 75 Turkish liras for a period of nine months to school students, while granting 300 Turkish liras to Turkish students, and 600 Turkish liras to foreign students, for a period of eight months.

The student must have an enrollment in a Turkish school or university to be able to apply for the scholarship.

The Directorate stipulates that the age of applicants for the university scholarship should not exceed 25 years.

The papers required to apply are a personal photo, a copy of the residence or temporary protection card (Kimlik), a student document (Öğrenci Belgesi), and contact information from the home address and phone number.

154,505 foreign students are studying in Turkish universities, including 27,034 Syrian students, according to the statistics of the Turkish Higher Education Institution, for the year 2019.
