The Director of the International Astronomy Center, Engineer Muhammad Shawkat Odeh, announced, in exclusive statements to Al-Watan, that there are many countries that announce a large proportion of the first days of Eid Al-Fitr next Saturday, according to previous years, and these countries are Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, and India. Oman, Iran, Morocco, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
And there are some other countries, it is difficult to predict the date of the first days of Eid Al-Fitr, as it could be Friday or Saturday, namely Jordan, Algeria and Mauritania, and the rest of the countries will announce the first days of Eid Al-Fitr on Friday, according to the director of the International Astronomy Center.
In addition, some non-Arab Islamic countries in the continent of Africa announce the first day of Eid al-Fitr on Saturday, stressing that Egypt is one of the countries expected to announce Eid al-Fitr on Friday, as it is located on the edge with Libya, in which it is easy to see the crescent using a telescope.
