Firefighters rushed to put out a huge fire that broke out in a residential complex in the Narli Dere district of Izmir, Turkey, Thursday evening.
And it was reported that, for an unspecified reason, a huge fire broke out in an 8-storey building of 4 blocks in the Yeni Kala neighborhood of the Nerli Dere district.
A large number of firefighters and medical teams were dispatched to the scene of the fire, as the flames engulfed the entire building in a short time.
The machine guns of the Regional Forestry Directorate have been directed, and the residents of the building are being evacuated, as explosions are heard from time to time.
Eyewitnesses said that some citizens had to jump from balconies due to the huge fire.
On the other hand, Izmir Governor Yavuz Selim Koçer, Izmir Justice and Development Party deputies Mahmud Atilla Kaya and Mrs. Bolunmez Çankiri attended the scene.
Izmir Governor Selim Koçer, who came to the scene, explained that all residents of the building were evacuated when the fire started.
