The first episode of the Turkish historical series “Ertugrul Resurrection” has exceeded 100 million views on the Pakistani television page on YouTube in less than a year.

The series began showing on the “TRT Ertugrul by PTV” channel of the Pakistani TV, on “YouTube”, on April 25, 2020, dubbed into the Urdu language.

From that date until Friday, the series witnessed a great turnout from the Pakistani audience, and the total number of viewers for the first episode reached more than 100 million and 55 thousand.

The number of comments on the first episode of the Turkish series exceeded 100,000, and the number of subscribers to the “TRT Ertugrul by PTV” channel reached 13 million.

Earlier, “Google” published a list of the most searched topics on the Internet, in Pakistan, during 2020, where “Ertugrul Resurrection” ranked first.

In previous statements, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan said that Turkish soap operas are broadcast in his country with the aim of providing good examples for the people and educating them.

And “Ertugrul Resurrection”, after it started showing on Pakistani state television (PTV) since the beginning of last Ramadan, has turned into one of the most interesting TV series in Pakistan. It takes place in the 13th century AD.

The series presents the biography of the hero Ertugrul bin Suleiman Shah, the leader of the Kayi tribe, who is one of the Muslim Oghuz Turks (Turkmen), and the father of Othman I, the founder of the Ottoman Empire (656 AH / 1258 AD – 726 AH / 1326 AD.)
